Twelve Days Of Sweden..

On the first day of Sweden, my thought exactly was 'God its like being in the fens in England', later on however i can honestly say nothing like the fens at all i've never climed so many hills! Anna also took me for a walk round the forest to try and tire me out, i didn't work.

On the second day of Sweden, I experienced Linkoping the town in which Anna lives. Heres there Cathedral and a lovely view of the street where the delicious Steve's restaurant is, one word Bearnaise sauce! After Anna treated me to her local fresh water lake (as you do), freezing!

On the third day of Sweden, We went to Gamla Linkopings there famous 'Old Town', pretty impressive 'princess cake' and the bank manager wasn't bad either!

On the forth day of Sweden, we went to Gamla Stan, aka Foxton Locks, and ate blueberry and citrus ice cream, while watching Wilhelm Tham getting stuck in the locks. Then going to the Swedes version of our Newsagents we went to Ikea (there on every corner) for salmon actually, i didn't quite fancy the meatballs today! We went back to the lake with her friend Emma for a BBQ and a little swim obviously we swam first i didn't want to sink.

Very attractive pose, i know.

On the fifth day of Sweden, this was a really good day, like a super good day. We went to Flygavpenmuseum, an emotional experience for what reason i'm not sure? Then we went to pick up the brother, Andreas down by the coast, the Baltic coast. We had a BBQ at Davids parents house, (you know good old David) Where i found my love for Halloumi, well i liked it before but they BBQ'd it nicely. Oh god and i relived my childhood with a Pokemon.

On the sixth day of Sweden, we revisited Linkoping as i wanted to take pictures of the Cathedral, well thats what i said i really wanted to have Steve's bearnaise sauce! We also went to the park which was relaxing and had strawberry Mr Whippy with kiwi ice cream i do like to mix things up a bit. We then went out for a friends Birthday, i say friend as i have mislaid her name, apologies. The Swedish dance funny, favourite quote of the night 'I can get 3 of these at home for the price of this'.

On the seventh day of Sweden, we had a bit of a lyin, then Papa took us to a castle (even though it looked like a really big mansion, there was no teeth on top of the towers) and an extreme mile long, steep, stoney hill. We will do the castle first.

On the eigth day of Sweden, we were Stockholm bound on a train that looked like a bullet. After having numourus amounts of coffee and cinnamon buns in the old town (which i did everyday damn you Swedish people and your 'Fikas') we took off to the Royal Vintage, Livrustkammaren, where the Royal vintage costume and clothing exhibition was showing, and was so glad to see it as its a limited exhibition. Down stairs was the royal museum where i wore a rather fetching headphones. After we headed for the ferry across to the little theme park on water, after feeling quite used to the water the sickness swam away and i think i may now be cured for 5 minute boat rides.

On the ninth day of Sweden, Me and Anna went to the National Museum for the Lust and Vice exhibition well that was an experience if anything. After we went to Stockholms laid back neighbour hood, Sodermalm and their 'SoFo' district where i expolored the vintage shops and retro homestores, i could have done this all day, but somebody was a pain in the foot! So we ended with a Waynes Coffee which was our little sanctuary on our long days out. We also met mamma and Andrew on the hotels roof terrace where i saw a rainbow, drank vodka and gingerbeer (thats a new one) and kept warm in a rug.

On the tenth day of Sweden, we went to Stockholms main shopping strip and took mamma out for a meal to say thankyou for the lovely trip!

On the eleventh day of Sweden, was a day of rest and Harry Potter which was a good call as it was hammering it down with rain all day, but don't worry me and Anna still got our daily does of Fikas!

On the twelfth day of Sweden, was a day of reliving the Swedish experience Going back to Linkopings old town and Linkoping town for a last time ill probably have bearnaise sauce this year at 'Steves', then home for a swedish film and a 'early' night for the journey home.

I hope you sang all of this in the 'Twelve days of Christmas tune', and i hope that i encouraged your minds to think about Sweden as a possible destination in the future as it is for me, the family have only gone and got me a little tent for when they go away in the caravan!
